Kaytie Odom is a 24-year-old figurative oil painter from Tampa, Florida. She is currently a senior at the University of Tampa, working towards her Bachelor's of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. Her previous accolades include being named a 2025 Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Collegiate Scholarship recipient, placing second in the University of Tampa Annual Juried show in 2024, and exhibiting her work in the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas.

Odom’s practice draws on the feminine experience and the societal expectations that construct our idea of gender, sexuality, and relationships. The theatricality of her subjects is deliberate, as their exaggerated postures and masked faces reveal gender as something acted, repeated, and fluid. Exploring the tensions between what we feel and what we’re taught to display, Odom’s figures exist between the instinctual and the performed, exposing the shifting, layered terrain beneath the surface of femininity, desire, and self-presentation
